Francisco J. Ocasio is an individual who strives to help others. He is of Puerto Rican descent who identifies with the LGBTQ+ community and who has worked as an educator for 12 years. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Teacher Education and Teacher Development at Montclair State University (MSU). His primary doctoral research interests include the disadvantages of LGBTQ+ staff members working within schools. He is passionate about creating safe spaces for his colleagues and his students while facilitating opportunities for educational risks within his classroom.
