Yesterday was an intense day. We started with Vascular surgery, and trauma management with a focus on amputations led by
Dr. Bill Johnson, MD and Dr. Molly Ratner, MD.

A Special shout out to Dr. Johnson who has supported this program and educating the future generation of clinicians from the start of this program.

In the afternoon we transitioned to head dissections, and even performed facelifts. Thank you to our Senior Lab manager Christopher Rish and Lab technician Adina Shamieva for your guidance.

We had an Incredibly exciting morning yesterday with Shoulder and Knee Arthroscopy including an ACL repair. Thank you to Dr. Clifford Voigt for your leadership and talent!

Welcome to the 5th Annual Medical Immersion High School Cohort! Today was day 1 and orientation and introduction to Cadaveric dissection. We were also so excited to welcome back alumni Emma, Ava and Andrea who assisted at the stations.

We are proud to share that a former research intern and third year medical student at Lake Erie College of Medicine, Sam Wang, presented our team’s work at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center 2026 Daniel Manganaro Annual Scientific Poster Symposium and earned 3rd place in the Literature Review category. The recognized project, titled “Low-Intensity Continuous Ultrasound vs. Traditional Ultrasound: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis on Past and Future Gold Standard for Tissue Temperature Increase,” highlights important research comparing ultrasound approaches and their implications for clinical practice.
