Welcome Back for Round Three!

We are thrilled to welcome back Brock Eyster for his third term with us as a Project Manager Intern!

Brock brings an incredible eagerness to learn, a polite and positive attitude, and a genuine readiness to jump in and help the team wherever he is needed. We sat down with him to talk about his experience and what keeps him coming back to ACME Constructors.

Q: What keeps bringing you back for your third internship with us?

The people! I enjoy the people I work with and the trust they instill to make me feel like a valued employee. As a PM intern, I am learning how to become a well-rounded project manager to be post-graduation ready.

Q: As a Project Manager Intern, what has been the most exciting industrial project or new skill you’ve tackled so far?

The most exciting new skill has been estimating based off drawings. Learning to read, interpret, and picture drawings has been very helpful.

Q: You're known around the office for being a fantastic team player. What is your favorite part about working and collaborating with the crew here?

My favorite part is that no one makes me feel like I am asking too many questions. There is never a dumb question and everyone is wanting to help me learn and grow as a Project Manager. All my teammates at Acme have an expertise and are willing to train me on the subject.

Q: How has working within our 100% employee-owned culture shaped your view of your future career in the construction industry?

Working at an employee-owned company, I am able to see that all employees are interested and passionate about the company successes and no one is just here for a paycheck. Everyone has a vested interest and great work ethic.
