Katsura Sunshine brings the centuries-old Japanese art of Rakugo to the Westport Funny Bone for a one-night-only performance on June 22.

A master storyteller trained through Japan’s rigorous traditional apprenticeship system, Sunshine has performed around the world, introducing audiences to a style of comedy unlike anything else you’ll see on a modern stage.

Using only a fan, a hand towel, and his imagination, he brings entire worlds of characters to life through wit, timing, and storytelling that transcends language and culture.

Part comedy show.
Part cultural experience.
Completely unforgettable.

And yes… it’s on a Monday.

Which makes it the perfect excuse to make your Monday a lot more interesting.

Hosted by JC Sibala and Jack Wright, Wild Card Comedy has spent more than a decade turning stand-up into one of the most unpredictable nights in the city.

No big setup. No polished version. Just real stories told like they started at a bar and somehow ended up on a stage at Funny Bone Comedy Club - Westport.

July 2–5 he’s in Westport for a Fourth of July run where you come in early, laugh a little too hard, then roll straight into the plaza for music, crowds, and fireworks at 9:30.

And for the July 4 show at 6:30… you get the comedy first, then the chaos after.
