Casey & Devoti

This week Matthew Devoti participated in a Career Fair hosted by Gateway Science Academy. GSA held the fair at its high school campus in the North Hampton neighborhood. Representatives from 20 local organizations participated, including paramedics from the City's Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, and folks from various trades, local businesses, the St. Louis Development Corporation, Forest Park Community College, and the Missouri Public Defender's Office.
We believe its imperative to actively engage with local organizations. And there's no doubt about the educational opportunities provided by GSA at its three local campuses.

The St. Louis Law Journal arrived last week. The Journal features an article penned by our Alexa Hillery.
The Journal is published by The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. BAMSL is the largest St. Louis-based bar association. Alexa is chair of BAMSL's Trial Section.

This afternoon Alexa Hillery is covering a pretrial conference in a case she and Matthew Devoti are trying next week in St. Louis County. The jury trial will be the fifth case Alexa and Matt have tried over the last fifteen months.
The big box advertisers are all over the media. They promise lots of things. One thing they seldom address in their advertisements: courtroom experience.
Our lawyers know how to prepare a case. We are here if you, a friend, or loved one need help. And our lawyers work with our clients every step of the way, including trial when necessary.

Our practice took Matthew Devoti and Alexa Hillery to Albion, Illinois earlier this month. Matt and Alexa tried a jury case involving a collision between a motorcycle and farm sprayer. Our team couldn't get over Illinois' law regarding contributory fault; the jury returned a defense verdict after more than two hours of deliberation.
The case was a tough: a motorcyclist brought suit against a local farmer in a farming community involving a collision that happened less than two miles from the Edwards County Courthouse. Many jurors knew the farmer, or his wife, or a family member, not to mention the deputy sheriff who investigated the collision. But, our lawyers tried the case. They didn't back down.
We realize you're flooded with commercials and advertisements. We also know you'll never see nor hear our names on a television or radio spot, on a billboard, or on the side of a bus. We've built our practice by working every case for trial and, when necessary, trying those cases to conclusion. This month's case was the fourth tried by our lawyers this year to a jury. Matt and Alexa played a significant role in all four of those cases.
We can't promise results. But, we can promise hard work and the guts to try cases that need to be tried.
