You should NEVER throw Lemon Peels in the Trash! π Here is how to use them.
Natural Household Cleaner
Fill a jar with lemon peels and cover them with white vinegar.
Let the mixture sit for 2β3 weeks, then strain and dilute with equal parts water.
Use this lemon-vinegar solution as a natural cleaner for countertops, windows, and bathrooms.
DIY Lemon Zest
Grate the outer yellow layer of the peel using a fine grater or zester.
Store the zest in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer.
Lemon-Infused Water or Tea
Add fresh or dried lemon peels to a pitcher of water for a refreshing citrus flavor.
Use peels in hot water to create a soothing lemon tea.
Natural Air Freshener
Boil lemon peels with water and a few cloves or cinnamon sticks for a natural air freshener.
Place dried lemon peels in sachets and tuck them into closets or drawers.
