If you have a dream, chase it. Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a fashion designer when I grew up. Last month I achieved part of that dream, to graduate from FIT with a Bachelors in Fine Arts. These past 4 years have been exciting, challenging, and everything in between. I’ve learned over the years to persevere and keep my chin up, no matter what life throws at you. It’s okay to not have everything go as planned-as long as my dream was still in sight. Losing my mom will be the hardest thing I’ll go through in my life, but I made a promise to her that I would walk across that stage and graduate just days after her passing. My time FIT was so meaningful, and I’ll cherish all the memories, blood, sweat, and tears-not to mention the countless times the sewing machines stopped working before an assignment was due. I’m so thrilled for what the future holds, and to keep learning and growing in my fashion career. I did it momma💙bern
