Laclede Cab

We have ONE (1) full time position for a Mechanic Helper/Porter to perform basic repair on our fleet. BASIC repair will be required, including brake jobs, ball joints, etc. at the direction of our lead mechanic. Employee will be performing basic fleet maintenance with other duties as assigned.

Applicant must be able to work unsupervised, but willing to accept instruction and assistance. Basic duties will be oil and filter changes, light electrical work, tire changing, brake repairs and more. Applicant will receive instruction and guidance from our lead mechanic and must be willing to accept such instruction and able to learn.

Our shop is an active environment. Applicant MUST work well with others. No exceptions. Porter duties will include landscaping as required as well as fulfilling duties assigned by the General Manager, such as cleanup and trash detail. Again, this is not an ASE certified position; this is for a light duty mechanic assistant and porter.

Salary reflects this basic level of expertise and is discussed during the interview, including a brief probationary period.

You need a Missouri Class F (standard) driver license or better to apply. If you live in Illinois, you need an Illinois license. Later - if the interview goes well and you want to try this - you'll need these (we can help with them):

- A fingerprint background check.
