Hear from Robert Cubby, a retired police captain and now a presenter and facilitator with NAMI National, as he shares his journey with a PTSD diagnosis.
While veterans, EMS professionals, and law enforcement experience PTSD at higher rates due to the nature of their work, PTSD is not limited to these groups. It can affect anyone—survivors of accidents, violence, abuse, natural disasters, medical trauma, loss, or ongoing stress, among many other experiences. These are only examples; trauma is complex and not limited to any one type of event or group.
Raising awareness helps break stigma, encourages understanding, and reminds those who are struggling that support is available and healing is possible. You are not alone 💚
