🍁 How beautiful are these trails?

🍁Fall is a great time for a walk or bike ride around St. Louis. @greatriversstl has developed 140 miles of trails around St. Louis and here are 7 of our favorite trail segments to try for fall.

📍Rock Hollow Trail
🍁Meramec Greenway 📍 Wildwood
Park at the Ridge Meadows Elementary School trailhead or walk in from the Al Foster Trail to see beautiful trees and over a dozen bridges along a paved path.
⚠️ Note that the trail will be closed October 28-30 at this trailhead for tree maintenance

📍Al Foster Trail
🍁Meramec Greenway 📍Wildwood
This gravel trail passes beautiful bluffs with great views of the Meramec River. You might even see a mini-train go by!

📍Cliff Cave Park
🍁 Mississippi Greenway 📍St. Louis
This wonderful park offers paved trails with a river overlook, shaded trails, and even a cave!

📍Duckett Creek Trailhead
🍁Busch Greenway 📍Weldon Spring
This hidden gem pathway follows a creek with multiple bridges, a tunnel of trees, and connection to the Katy Trail.

📍Jefferson Barracks Park
🍁 Mississippi Greenway 📍 St. Louis
This path leads north from Jefferson Barracks Park to follow the river with wonderful views.

📍St. Vincent Park & Forest Park
🍁St. Vincent Greenway 📍 St. Louis
A shaded segment of this Greenway leads through St. Vincent Park or start behind the Missouri History Museum at Forest Park to follow the trail to connect to more parks, playgrounds, and a storybook walk.

📍Chain of Rocks Bridge
🍁 Mississippi Greenway 📍 St. Louis
Park at the renovated Chain of Rocks Park on the Missouri side to walk across the Mississippi River. The trail is extra scenic at sunset!

Have you explored any of these trails?

River Des Peres Trash Bash is tomorrow, Saturday Oct. 25! We could still use a few volunteers at four greenway locations (River des Peres, Mississippi & St. Vincent)- walkups welcome. Give us two hours (9-11am) and help cleanup up the parks and green spaces in your neighborhood. It is a fun & easy way to make a difference on a Saturday morning. See meetup locations for each in comments below- ***NOTE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED, BUT YOU CAN STILL WALKUP AND VOLUNTEER****
