IREM shared a recap of its recent dialogue with HUD, and it gets into several issues operators are dealing with right now. HUD staffing shortages. HOTMA timing. NSPIRE inconsistency. Pressure on voucher programs. HUD also said it’s open to ideas that could reduce administrative burden, especially around duplicative processes and documentation.

That’s the part that hits. These aren’t abstract policy points. They affect inspections, timelines, recerts, leasing decisions, and a lot of day to day work.
