π We are heartbroken from the devastating loss caused by the EF3 tornado that tore through St. Louis a week ago, and our thoughts are with all those affected. We're also reeling from the catastrophic damage to STL's urban canopy.
π³ π The tornado hit some of the oldest and most historic areas of St. Louis, and cleanup and recovery will continue for many months, but we are encouraged and inspired by community leaders members, contractors, and volunteers who are truly working around the clock.
π Here are some resources for anyone in need of assistance or interested in donating time, funds, or materials.

This snow wonβt last forever (promise), and weβre already looking forward to a couple of fantastic events planned for March!
On Saturday, March 8, join Forest ReLeaf and our wonderful longtime partners at Great Rivers Greenway for a Planting Day at North Riverfront Park. From 9a to noon, help maintain newly planted trees by mulching and weeding. No experience is necessary β our teams will show you the proper mulching technique! You can join the volunteer waitlist here: https://bit.ly/PlantingVol
Then, on March 29, join us for our Open Nursery Potting Day and help us meet our goal of 20,000 tree seedlings planted! Helping hands of all ages are welcomed to the nursery to help make sure these young trees get planted properly. Potting days begin with a tour of the nursery and a quick overview of the process, and ample opportunities for breaks. Weβll provide gloves, training, and snacks. You can register here: https://bit.ly/PottingDay

π³ π We may be in the business of conserving trees, but sometimes urban trees can pose a high risk in certain situations.
It's always a difficult decision to remove a tree, but like in Lisa's case, sometimes it is necessary for the safety of people and property. π Lisa, we appreciate your kind words and thank you for trusting STL Tree Pros with your tree situation!
