Rocking For Life

In light of our last post announcing our success at the Drag Show last weekend, here comes the hard part. I, Marissa, have decided to take a bit of a break as president of Rocking For Life for awhile. I will be graduating from Maryville in a few weeks, and leaving for my internship in about a month, which is sort of out in the middle of nowhere and far away from any city or RFL activity. I'm not sure what lies in the future of RFL, I certainly hope that the student organization at Maryville University will continue to press on, and I do have big plans for the distant future of RFL as a stand alone non-profit organization. However, I'm choosing to take the next 6 to 9 months as a break from RFL and other organizations I'm a part of, so that I can focus fully on myself and my internship. You can still expect the occasional post from me should I discover any big news related to su***de prevention, and as I mentioned, I have hopes that our student group at Maryville will continue to raise awareness, host events, and we'll no doubt post about those events here as well.

But, for the most part, see you about 6 months!
