Calling all Volunteers!!

The Ridgewood subdivision in Crestwood, built between 1951-1953 by St. Louis homebuilder Burton Duenke and designed by Ralph Fournier, is a standout neighborhood of mid-century modern residential architecture that survives with no major alterations or teardowns! To preserve its unique authenticity, ModernSTL is seeking volunteers to help survey homes as part of an effort to list Ridgewood on the National Register of Historic Places.

Here’s what to expect: Volunteers will be examining the exterior of a house in Ridgewood to complete historic inventory forms that will record the presence of original materials, changes and additions and other conditions essential to determining which houses contribute and which do not contribute to the future historic district.

Training provided-no experience required. Bring your walking shoes and help preserve an important piece of St. Louis modern architecture!

When: Saturday, May 9th at 10:00am - 2:00pm.
