The main thing to do in life is to have God consciousness all the time. It’s a hard task, but it makes many other tasks easier.

A historical-spiritual note: when the nation is not unified it doesn’t matter how much Torah we study, we will be unsuccessful at war; when the nation is unified we are successful at war, even if we are doing idolatry, the worst transgression.

We are in the month of Shevat. The symbol for this month is the bucket at the well. It is no coincidence that there numerous highly significant events that happen at a well in the Torah, most recently in the weekly Torah portions Moses helps the daughters of Yisro.
