UMSL NAEA Student Chapter

Former UMSL art & education students, faculty, and adjuncts may remember Stephanie Garrison from the art Ed program. Stephanie was recently diagnosed with Bulbar onset ALS, a horrific disease. A go fund me campaign has been set up to provide for Stephanie’s medical needs.

Stephanie has touched the lives of so many individuals. Her compassion, love for life, and determination are what I remember most. Please support stephanie and make a donation, no amount is too small.

MEETING REMINDER: March 13th, Thursday at 4:00pm

During this meeting we will talk about the best time to have another lesson plan night, and to get impute for how things should be going in NAEA, and the Art Education program.

Snacks will be provided during this meeting! YUM!

Hi everyone,

On Monday the 17th Patricia Martinez and I are putting together a lesson plan, movie, pizza night, we will start at 6:00pm and will end at about 9:30. We would like to get everyone together and do a few hands on studio lessons. The lesson plans that we have in mind are ones we received from experienced teachers who presented at the fall Art Ed conference. This should be a fun activity for all, and an opportunity to get to know other students in the Art Ed program. We will be playing a Disney movie during this time as well as providing PIZZA and Refreshments! Please let me or Patricia know if you will be coming so we know how much pizza to bring.

KidSmart is a program that provides basic supplies to
teachers who work at schools with 70% or more free
and reduced lunch. Children in need to succeed in school
are given these essential tools for learning.
