When I am asked when is it a good time to buy a house, I respond with this picture from the Sears archives that was from the early 1900's. For what is considered one month's rent today, you could have bought a whole house. Moral of the story, house prices are only going to go up (just like foid and everything else) with occasional dips in the market. Marry the mortgage, date the rate.
