Just dropped this custom life-size cow head off at it’s new home this afternoon. I was contacted to do this commission shortly after I posted my first ‘taxidermy’ piece, and was given virtually full creative freedom within a few parameters. This was sculpted from styrofoam, hard coated, with cast sculpted teeth and opalite eyes. I added color-changeable and dimmable LEDs behind the eyes as a little bonus to the recipient for being the best kind of client an artist could ask for. It was a little nerve-wracking as he wanted to be totally surprised with the end product, but we’re both absolutely thrilled with how it turned out.
