The inaugural Q***r Hearts Healers Cafe was such a delight! 🌻 We gathered, we giggled, we ideated & talked about WHY community building is such necessary medicine & how these conversation cafes can serve as our “watering hole” to stay in connection, especially thru these times of great challenge & change. We pondered about what a thriving q***r healer ecosystem could look like for our collective future & how we can even q***r & shape the concept of healing to come. 🌈

Tremendous gratitude to all who came & shared. And gratitude to everyone that let us know you wanted to come & couldn’t make it!! 🙏🏻 The cafe will continue on 3rd Saturdays at the Tower Grove Farmers' Market & we’re already looking at opening a weeknight time for more options to connect! 💜

Power-WITH relationships are the medicine to confront power-over systems! 🍄‍🟫 A NEW WORKSHOP “What’s My Role In The Village: Map Your Medicine & Power” coming up July 5th from MyQ***rRhiza, aka Ishy AEneas Moore & Just Deanna 🦋 of Sovereign Somatics | Deanna Danger ! 🫱🏾‍🫲🏻🍄‍🟫🌈

“What’s my role in the village” is about locating your role in community - understanding what gifts you carry, what you need from others, and how different kinds of people make collective work possible. Through guided mapping exercises, somatic art & movement activities, small group dialog, and a little creative whimsy, you’ll walk away with a map of your medicine & power, and genuine connection with the people in your local community.

This workshop draws from two frameworks: Deepa Iyer’s Social Change Ecosystem Map, which names the many roles that sustain movements; and the Three Sisters (corn, beans, and squash) a companion planting tradition rooted in Indigenous agricultural knowledge that shows us how different plants, like different people, need each other to survive and thrive.
