With heavy hearts, we share the passing of one of our beloved campus ambassadors, Martini ("Tini").

On Monday morning, Tini greeted us just as she always did - bright, alert, and eagerly enjoying her breakfast. Later that afternoon, she was found to have passed away. While her loss was completely unexpected, we're grateful her final morning was spent doing what she loved most: enjoying a good meal and being surrounded by people who cared deeply for her.

During the year and a half she was part of the Midwest Institute family, Tini helped tons of Veterinary Technology students build their confidence and develop their skills. From handling and restraint to physical exams, medication administration, and patient care, she patiently participated in countless learning experiences and reminded us that some of the greatest teachers come in very small packages.

Most recently, many of our students also had the opportunity to be involved in her care as she was treated for chronic dental disease. Even as a patient herself, Tini continued teaching lessons in compassion, teamwork, and advocating for every animal entrusted to our care.

The classroom feels a little quieter without her, but her impact will be felt for years to come through the students whose lives she touched.

Thank you, Tini, for every lesson, every cuddle, every Cheerio, and every tiny whisker twitch that made us smile. You will always be part of the Midwest Institute family. ❤️🐀
