With the warmer weather here, what are some projects that are usually on your priority list of getting done when the "weather gets nicer"?

Today is the day that you want to make sure all your hoses are disconnected on the outside of your property! According to multiple weather sources it looks as if the temperature is going to drop in the infamous polar vortex is going to return.

The last time we had this supposed polar vortex we Were inundated with calls for broken pipes. I believe we did about 48 service calls in a five day period. Specifically for repairing broken water lines due to the hose not being disconnected outside.

This is usually a very expensive mistake, And typically leads to an insurance claim, And the disposal Of everything affected by it.

I specifically remember one customer that had their makeshift library in the basement right next to where the waterline goes out of the house for the hose. No big deal right?

Imagine trying to deal with more than 1000 books soaking wet, and hundreds of vinyl records with all of their sleeves ruined. Boxes of family photos ruined.

It’s definitely worth the two minutes it will take for you to walk around the house and make sure hoses are not connected.
