“For he so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son” Maybe this is how I know God is a man, he had to be. If it were up to Mary what would she have done? What would any mother do? It is not that being a father makes that sacrifice any less painful. It is that a mother would sacrifice the world a dozen times over before she would sacrifice her only begotten son. I think of the love i have for my sons and think of Mary. I don’t know how she did it. My guess is only with the greatest hope and most profound trust which I think can also be called Faith. I understand gods hand in this gift we call the Christ Child. But I feel Mary’s Gift in the most poignant ways. I thank God everyday but I want to also Thank Mary for doing the unthinkable. For doing what I could never do. I hope this next week is filled with love, peace, joy and gratitude! Merry Christmas 🎄
