Springville Firefighters Local 5439

Today, we remember and honor the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice secured freedoms that can never be taken for granted.

Although this winter season has been an unusual one, with a lack of colder temperatures and snowfall, your Springville Firefighters recently completed Ice Rescue Training. All Springville Firefighters are required to be certified to the Ice Rescue Technician level. This certification ensures our firefighters have the knowledge and specialized skills needed to safely operate on and enter frozen waters in the event that a person or animal becomes trapped in or on the ice.

Firefighters from Spanish Fork Fire & EMS also participated in the training, which was instructed by Elite Technical Rescue Training LLC. We appreciate the opportunity to train alongside our neighboring agency and the expertise provided by Elite Technical Rescue Training to help ensure our crews remain prepared for these low-frequency but high-risk rescue situations.
