HOPE IS ALIVE!

Hi everyone! Pastor Gaylene here! Writing to you from my office (dinner table) after a power outage! Power is back on and so am I! I hope this writing finds you well and wondering when this weird rain in May is coming again. Hubby mows the lawn and then it rains and it looks as if the yard has not been touched!

This week the message will be about The Holy Trinity. The Holy Trinity is one of the most difficult theologies in all of Christian literature to effectively explain. The Holy Trinity is made up of three parts; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. It has different comparisons given to it. It is often compared to a triangle, or trees…roots, trunk and branches and many others. But what if we think of the Holy Trinity as something that is continuously growing. Imagine a table where there is always room for more. Give it some thought. Even better come to worship this Sunday and hear about The Holy Trinity in a different way.

So come and see.
Come as you are.
Come and worship.
Come and fellowship.

See you Sunday. Grace and peacefuls! PGC Pastor Gaylene Chrystie

Day of Pentecost - May 24, 2026

Pentecost derives its name from the Jewish festival celebrating the harvest and the giving of the law on Mount Sinai fifty days after Passover. Fifty days after Easter, we celebrate the Holy Spirit as God’s presence within and among us. In Acts the Spirit arrives in rushing wind and flame, bringing God’s presence to all people. Paul reminds us that though we each have different capacities, we are unified in the Spirit that equips us with these gifts. Jesus breathes the Holy Spirit on his disciples, empowering them to forgive sin. We celebrate that we too are given the breath of the Holy Spirit and sent out to proclaim God’s redeeming love to all the world.

Full Service Replay - May 17, 2026

In these days between Ascension and Pentecost, we gather with the disciples in the upper room, waiting for the Spirit to transform the church around the world. In today’s gospel Jesus prays for his followers and for their mission in his name. Amid religious, social, and economic divisions, we seek the unity that Jesus had with his Father. Made one in baptism, we go forth to live our faith in the world, eager for the unity that God intends for the whole human family.
