This will keep moisture level consistent and helps prevent movement of plumbing. Long periods without water can cause the ground to pull away from plumbing lines and cause stress to the pipes .

Some pools are also built with an auto fill connection that works off of a sprinkler system. Leaving the sprinklers off can lead to low water levels effecting equipment and water chemistry.
