SCCTC Veterinary Science program

Today, our Vet Science students had an amazing opportunity to tour MedVet Emergency Vet and Specialty Care in Worthington, Ohio! 🐾 During their visit, students explored a variety of specialties and witnessed advanced veterinary technology in action, including the linear accelerator used for specialized radiation treatments for cancer. They also observed CT scans and MRIs being performed and interpreted in real time. Such an incredible hands-on learning experience! In addition to the clinical tour, students gained valuable tips on resume building and interview etiquette to help prepare them for their future careers. A big thank you to the MedVet team for hosting us and providing such a meaningful and educational experience! 🐶🐱

Last week, Vet Science juniors and seniors had the opportunity to tour The Ohio State University’s Meat Lab. We got to see the entire facility as well as gain an understanding on the processes that take place in the lab. A huge thank you to Cambell Warrington, a 2022 graduate of the program, and all employees who helped with the tour! 🐮🐐🐷
