For my class of cat lovers, I have been drawing their wild cats from which their birthday verses are inspired. For their birthday gift, I write out their poem and add a pencil illustration of their animal. When I taught before, I did birds for my students’ birthday verses. Now, when I see their birds, I think of them and how they were when they were 10! Now they are all grown up, but those memories are encapsulated in time. ❤️
