In my broader framework of negative spiritual experiences—unpleasant experiences, neglect, harassment, and abuse—this article focuses specifically on spiritual harassment.

Spiritual harassment is not simply a softer version of spiritual abuse. It is a distinct category with its own dynamics, mechanisms, and consequences. Understanding it clearly helps prevent over classification of abuse while still acknowledging the real harm harassment causes.
