In our state and local area, there are several resources available for feeding kids over the summer:

• Food For Lane County invites ages 18 and younger to enjoy free lunches at parks and community centers June 22 - August 21.

• Oregon Summer EBT is back for kids who qualify. It helps families buy food for their school-aged children when school is out. Each summer, families will get one payment of $120 for each eligible child to buy groceries. Most kids get it automatically, but some families need to apply.

To learn more or to apply, visit sebt.oregon.gov or email [email protected]. You can also call the Oregon Summer EBT Call Center at 1-833-673-7328 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Summer Food Oregon can help families find free community summer meal programs that are open to all kids without paperwork or income verification. Call 211 or visit summerfoodoregon.org to find a site near you.

Our hope is that every student who wants a yearbook has access to one, so if your family is willing and able to sponsor one or more additional yearbooks for another student, we would greatly appreciate your generosity. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week

The PTSO and parent donors showed our teachers some love today with a Baked Potato bar, sodas and cookies. Thank you staff for all that you do! 💚

Don't forgete our Tattoo-a-Teacher is stilll going on! Not only will our students enjoy seeing our teachers marked up with silly tattoos, but it will also provide much needed funds for end of the school year activities.

Tattoo-a-Teacher Tattoo-a-Teacher 🎨 is a fun way to support Hamlin students while seeing your favorite teachers covered in “tattoos.” Funds will be used for end of school activities including field day and 8th grade promotion. Staff will be "tatted" up at school on Thursday, May 7.

Now is your chance to Tattoo-a-Teacher! This fundraiser helps support our end of school activities including field day and 8th grade promotion. Kids can purchase them during lunch and parents can order them online.

We hope you can join us for our upcoming April PTSO meeting tomorrow, April 21st!

We’ll be hearing from 8th grade counselor Sue Ann Rangeloff, who will share helpful information about the transition from middle school to high school. This is a great opportunity to get your questions answered and feel more prepared for the next step.

We will also be finalizing plans for our last social of the year, discussing our fun upcoming “Tat-a-Teacher” fundraiser, and hearing updates from Principal Brandi Starck.

Your involvement and input make a difference, and we’d love to see you there!
