The promise of life begins with clean birth kits Where a baby happens to be born should not determine his or her access to safe, clean conditions to come into the world. Every birth, every baby, is a miracle from God, and we should treat it as such.

On Friday, Oct. 3, Damond Boatwright, HSHS President and CEO, was joined by several HSHS colleagues at the United Way of Central Illinois Fall Day of Action.

"This is my fourth year volunteering for the United Way Day of Action, and I can’t think of a better way to spend my first weekend in October. Volunteering is not only rewarding but the best way to feel more connected to others who are as committed to serving the critical needs in our community," Damond shared.

This year's Day of Action was at the Adams Wildlife Sanctuary where our team helped to clean the wildlife viewing area and improve landscaping. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time!
