Meet Mark! 👋🏻

We welcomed Mark to our family at the beginning of June. Mark grew up in Chicago but now resides in Springfield with his wife, Kirsten. Two words to describe him are passionate and hard working. We are excited to him!

On March 2, 1857, the Wisconsin Legislature passed a bill incorporating the Mutual Life Insurance Company of the State of Wisconsin. Founded by John C. Johnston in Janesville, he and other founders spent the next 20 months securing $200,000 in pledged business, which was required before we could issue our first policy. On Nov. 25, 1858, the company issued Policy No. 1 to John in recognition of his efforts. The company moved to Milwaukee in 1859 and changed its name to the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in 1864. Happy Founder's Day !!
