"There is no greater disability in society than the inability to see a person as more." — Robert M. Hensel

During Disability Pride Month, let's remember to see people beyond labels. Every person has unique strengths, talents, and potential.

At neba, we believe meaningful employment and community inclusion begin by seeing the person first.

Fireworks remind us to celebrate the moments that bring people together.

As we gather with family, friends, and neighbors this Fourth of July, we're reminded that strong communities are built when everyone has the opportunity to participate, contribute, and belong.

This Disability Pride Month, we're celebrating the people, talents, and experiences that make our communities stronger every day. Together, we can create a future where inclusion isn't the exception—it's the expectation.

Because the world works better with us.

Today marks the beginning of Disability Pride Month.

This year's theme, "The World Works Better With Us," celebrates the talents, perspectives, and contributions people with disabilities bring to our workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, and communities every day.

Disability Pride Month is about more than recognizing a community—it's about celebrating belonging. When barriers are removed and opportunities are created, everyone benefits.

At neba, we see this every day. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to work, contribute, build relationships, and be an active part of their community. Inclusion isn't just the right thing to do—it makes our workplaces and communities stronger.

Throughout July, we'll be sharing stories, resources, and information celebrating Disability Pride Month and the people who help make our communities better every day.

Because the world truly works better with us.
