Our Then & Now series continues today! We’re excited to keep sharing Robertson County landmarks and the stories behind the places that have shaped our community.
This week, we’re featuring the Robertson County Courthouse 🏛️
Since Robertson County was established in 1796, the courthouse has remained at the heart of our community. The first courthouse was a simple log structure completed in 1799, and the current building reflects generations of growth, changes, and preservation.
In 1929, the courthouse underwent a major expansion that added the iconic tower and clock while increasing the size of the building by 50 percent. After years of serving Robertson County, a major restoration was completed in the early 2000s to help preserve this historic landmark for future generations.
Today, the Robertson County Courthouse continues to stand as a symbol of our county’s history, community, and the many stories created within its walls.
We hope you’ll continue following along on social media as we share more of the places that have shaped Robertson County, then and now!
