Scammers are now impersonating Corrections Officers at the Robertson County Detention Facility.

The scammer claims to be a bonding agent working for the Sheriff's Office and tells victims that a loved one is in jail. They then demand money through Venmo, Apple Pay, or other electronic payment apps, claiming the money is needed to keep the inmate from being placed in general population.

THIS IS A SCAM.

Bonding agents are not employed by the Robertson County Sheriff's Office. The Robertson County Sheriff's Office will NEVER call you and demand money or request payment through Venmo, Apple Pay, gift cards, or any other payment app.

If you receive a call like this:

❌ Do not provide personal or financial information.
