🚲 A helmet only works if it fits correctly.
As your kids head outside for bike rides, scooter adventures and neighborhood fun this summer, taking a few extra minutes to properly fit their helmet can make a lifesaving difference. A correctly fitted helmet can reduce the risk of serious head injury by up to 88%. 💛
Here’s a quick helmet fit check:
✅ Helmet sits level on the head — not tilted back
✅ Front edge rests 1–2 finger widths above the eyebrows
✅ Straps form a “V” shape under each ear
✅ Chin strap is snug with only 1–2 fingers fitting underneath
And don’t forget these important bike safety reminders:
🚴 Ride on sidewalks or bike paths when possible
🚦 Follow traffic signs and use hand signals
💡 Wear bright colors and add lights or reflectors
👨👩👧 Ride together until kids are confident on their own
Safe rides start with smart habits. Where’s your family’s favorite place to ride bikes this summer? ⬇️
