Happy Throwback Thursday!

This week, we are highlighting our third-grade fishing field trip experience. During the final weeks of school, our third graders participated in a study unit about fishing led by Mr. Neff. The students learned the purpose and importance of the Missouri Department of Conservation and how to identify several fish native to Missouri. They also learned how to tie and bait a fishing hook and how to cast their line. The unit culminated in a fun but chilly fishing trip on the last week of school. A big “thank you” to the Missouri Department of Conservation for providing each child a fishing pole to use and all the materials needed for the unit. As well as a shout-out to Mr. Neff for writing a grant that provided our students with the opportunity to have rich learning and field trip experience.
