The Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society (ΦΑΘ) membership drive for the 2019 is now open. Phi Alpha Theta is a professional society whose mission is to promote the study of History through encouragement of research, good teaching, publication, and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. Membership is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.
Undergraduate students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours (4 courses) in History, achieve a minimum GPA of 3.1 in History and a GPA of 3.0 or better overall. Graduate students should have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours towards their Master’s Degree in History, have a GPA of better than 3.5, and shall have completed approximately 30% of the residence requirements for the Master’s Degree.
To apply for membership to Phi Alpha Theta, please, fill out the membership application that you will find here: http://phialphatheta.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/PAT-Membership-Application-Form.pdf, then return it to the Phi Alpha Theta Faculty Advisor with a check for $50 made out to Phi Alpha Theta. Once the society has received your application and application fee, they will process it and send us your membership certificate that we will mail to you. Applications should be mailed by Monday, March 4th, 2019 to:
