We're distributing FREE emergency meals to Springfield families this Saturday to help support you during the snowstorm.

Due to weather, schools will be closed Monday, January 26 and Tuesday, January 27, and there will be no after school activities. SPS Student Assignment Services and Central Office will be closed also.

It’s hard to believe how quickly the seasons have shifted and that we are now in a new year.

As we begin 2026, we are preparing for our annual organizational meeting, where the 2026 Springfield School Committee will be sworn in on Monday, January 5 at 12:30 PM.

This year’s Committee includes three members beginning their first term, alongside returning members, as we come together to continue the work of serving Springfield’s students, families, and school community.
