Last night, our Head Start Home Based Program celebrated the end of an amazing program year while celebrating our transitioning children who are preparing to enter Kindergarten this fall! 🍎📚

To celebrate, 15 families joined us for a night of food and fun at Golden Corral as we recognized the growth and accomplishments of our children and parents throughout the year.

Programs like Head Start Home Based matter because they not only prepare children for school readiness, but also empower parents with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to actively support their child’s development at home. Through weekly parent-focused home visits, families receive health, nutrition, educational resources, and developmental guidance using the “Parents as Teachers” curriculum.

For families interested in joining our Home Based or Head Start Program, get enrollment done EARLY! Contact our enrollment department at (217) 528-0895 ext. 1305 or email Iesha Wallace at [email protected].

OUR COMMUNITY CAREER FAIR WAS A SUCCESS!!

Today over 100 attendees received direct access to career advancing employment opportunities, workforce resources, career guidance, and professional networking connections designed to help move people and families toward long-term economic stability and success.

More than 25 employers and organizations came together to open doors of opportunity for our community. Attendees connected with job openings, took part in interviews, received resume support, and discovered new paths toward brighter futures and stronger careers.

In a time when many families are searching for hope and stability, this event was more than a career fair, it was a reminder that opportunity still lives in our community. Every handshake, conversation, and application represented a step toward growth and economic empowerment.

None of this is possible without the employers, volunteers, workforce leaders, and community supporters who dedicated their knowledge and time to make today what it was...AMAZING!

With you, EVERYTHING is POSSIBLE. Thank you to:
