Springfield Karatedo Budokai

We are saddened to hear that we just lost a great karate-ka and true friend, Judy Catlow. She passed away yesterday after a long struggle with health issues. Judy joined Sensei Koeppel’s karate family when she signed up at his Barrington, Illinois dojo in the early 70’s. The dojo was run by Steve Mott, with Mark Peterson as dojo sensei. Judy was a great supporter of the Barrington dojo and of Sensei Koeppel throughout the years. She was a very giving person, a dedicated karate-ka and absolutely fearless. We love you Judy. You will be greatly missed.
