If you’ve ever been to Gailey’s, you may have noticed our restaurant is split into three distinct rooms, each with its own little piece of history. 📖

The far back room is 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒄𝒚💊 , where the Gailey family originally owned and operated 𝑮𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒚’𝒔 𝑫𝒓𝒖𝒈 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒚. The first room you walk into upon entering the restaurant is what we call The Bar or The Lounge🍻. And the middle room? We call that 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆 🇪🇸 - a nod to the historic hotel that once shared this space.🏨

Before it became the 𝑯𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒍 𝑺𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆, the building reopened in 1928 as the Savoy Hotel. In 1933, it was remodeled in a beautiful Spanish Colonial style and renamed the Hotel Seville.

But the history gets even better! A vintage matchbook shows the 𝑺𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒅 𝑯𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒍 𝑺𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆 listed alongside two other historic Ozarks-area hotels: the 𝟏𝟗𝟐𝟗 𝑯𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒍 𝑺𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒐𝒏, 𝑨𝒓𝒌𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒂𝒔 and 𝒀𝒆 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝑰𝒏𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓, 𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒊, now known as Ye Olde English Inn. Both hotels are still in operation today.😳 All three were operated by 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒍 𝑪𝒐., giving our little Seville room an even bigger Ozarks history tie-in.

And because we love a good nod to history around here, we have a signature omelet called the 𝑺𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝑶𝒎𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒕, one of the very first menu items featured when Gailey’s reopened in the mid-2000s as a breakfast cafe.🍳

Now through July, we’re featuring artwork from talented young artists ages 18 and under. We are so excited to have their creativity filling our walls.🧑‍🎨

Each piece is 1 ft. x 1 ft. and available for purchase for $50. It’s a sweet way to support local youth artists and take home something truly special.🖼️
