Springfield Community Gardens

A big thank you to the for spending the day with us! This incredible group of young volunteers kicked off the morning working in the garden, helping care for the spaces that grow fresh food for our community. When unexpected air conditioning issues made our original kitchen plans impossible, we pivoted! The group created their own personal pizzas for lunch using fresh herbs, tomatoes, and onions harvested straight from the garden.

Our SCG micro food hub feeds thousands of food insecure neighbors across Southwest Missouri. It’s hard work growing and moving all this local food, but we love being good neighbors!
