Shoutout to GLVC cross country runner of the year Madelyn Ross! She will be competing in Nationals this weekend! It’s been a privilege to play a small role in helping her and other women and men on the UIS XC team throughout this season!

We are now 1 month away from the 2023 Independence Day Powerlifting Meet!

Lifting begins at 11 a.m. on July 8th at the Virden Square. Do not miss out on your chance to experience the strongest powerlifting meet in Central Illinois!

There will be limited bleacher seating available on meet day. Lifters and spectators are welcome to bring their own seating arrangements, as there will be ample lawn space available.

Snow's Deluxe BBQ will be on site for dining options, as well as fitness product vendors such as Bulfit and DIVIENCY. 2023 Independence Day Powerlifting Meet T-shirts will also be available. We are also proud to announce Needham Chiropractic will be offering complimentary assisted stretching and mobility work to lifters on meet day!

McCormick Strength Training will also be donating a portion of the proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project. Lifters and spectators will also have the opportunity to donate on meet day!
