Yesterday, we ran a trial run for the Badge of Strength Endurance Race. The official race will be held on October 11th and 12th and is being sponsored by the Mental Health Association and Hampden County Sheriff’s Department, in partnership with East Campus, to help raise money for mental health awareness.
This unique challenge was specifically created for this inaugural event and consists of six challenges: a mile ruck, canoeing on Watershops pond, a team heavy lift, bodyweight lift, a static hold and a vertical climb.
Congratulations to all the teams who came out yesterday and showed up and gave it their all!
We look forward to sharing more information in the coming weeks about this exciting event!

This past weekend at the Northeast Association for Experiential Education conference, associate director, Angela Veatch, was honored with the PICOUP award - a Person In Charge of Unlocking Potential.
“This award is given to an individual who selflessly gives of themselves for the betterment of others. This award is to honor an individual who has the ability to empower others to achieve their best regardless of personal gain”.
What made the evening a little sweeter is that Ky Schroeher, former graduate fellow had the honor of presenting her the award.
A huge thank you to all of our Friends of East Campus who supported us this year on our annual day of giving. Watch the video to see who the lucky winner is of this beautiful hand-crafted end table made by director, Ben Taylor!
We are grateful for all of you who continuously show up. We look forward to sharing with everyone the significant improvements that will be made to the Pueblo this year.

Since its inception, the Pueblo has played an instrumental role in the history of Springfield College, supporting all three sides of the Gulick triangle. As such, we are thrilled to share that the Pueblo, a place that remains integral to the development and ex*****on of all of our programming, is undergoing significant repairs, made possible by a large, anonymous donation and the College's largest financial investment since the building was constructed back in 1932.
The targeted renovations will focus on the roof and the exterior walls. This project will help preserve this space, where history inspires every lesson, and where the next generation of students can build their confidence, deepen relationships, and explore their potential. Today, we hope you will join us in preserving this important piece of our shared story!
