Usually when we’re just 24 hours away from one of our adoptable dogs boarding transport to Massachusetts, it’s nothing but excitement. It means they’re about to begin the next chapter of their life. But instead of celebrating, we’re worried because Blaze still doesn’t have an adopter or even a foster waiting for him when he’s released from quarantine on Friday, July 17. 💔

If Blaze doesn’t have a foster or adopter by Friday, our volunteers will have no choice but to leave him behind at the quarantine facility while all of his travel buddies head off to their new homes and foster families. After everything he’s been through, after finally learning what the comforts of home feel like, the thought of Blaze spending his days in a loud kennel instead of on someone’s couch absolutely breaks our hearts.

Fully grown at just 16 lbs, what you see is what you get with this 1 year old cutie. No surprise growth spurts, no guessing games...just one perfectly pocket-sized best friend. 💙

Blaze would love a home where his people are around more often than not. He’s also an excellent neighborhood reporter who will happily notify you when the mail arrives, if the kids next door are having a little too much fun, or if a leaf dares to blow across the yard. 😂 Because he likes to share his opinions, apartment or condo living isn’t the right fit for him.

When it comes to other dogs, Blaze can be a little socially awkward. If you have a confident, playful pup willing to show him the ropes, they could make a great team! He’s also lived successfully with dog-savvy cats who basically run the household anyway. 🏠
