Federal Cuts Could Lead to Reduced Financial Aid Offers As colleges face mounting financial challenges, institutional aid budgets could take a significant hit, passing costs to students and undermining promising access initiatives.

Here’s yet another example of the nightmare this new “simplified” has been for families everywhere. And yet, their position is no one needs professional assistance in dealing with it. How absurd.

This was buried in a FAFSA press release today. They previously stated they would send the data to colleges in late January. Now it’s not happening until March. Realistically, that means the schools won’t get financial aid offers out to families until at least late April. If so, how can families be expected to pick a school by Decision Day on May 1st?
