The Comprehensive Stroke Center designation from The Joint Commission recognizes hospitals that provide expert, around-the-clock care for the most complex stroke cases, and SMH has held it since 2015. We're one of only 17 hospitals in Illinois with this designation, and one of just a handful outside the Chicago area.
