This weekend, across four locations in Springfield, we’re distributing a total of 1,000 food boxes, each one packed with enough food to provide two weeks of nutritious meals for families in need, as part of our Sharing the Love Initiative.

The annual event, which is a symbol of our commitment as an organization to giving back and uplifting lives in the Greater Washington area, has been months in the making as we worked alongside our partners to ensure an impactful effort.

And this year, we are working hard on putting together a milestone effort for our Sharing the Love 2024 event. We will be giving food boxes to 1,000 food-insecure families in Springfield, VA. Each box is being carefully put together to feed a family for two weeks, ensuring they have access to balanced, nutrient-rich meals during the holiday season.

Sharing the Love is more than just about delivering sustenance. We are also delivering hope and support during a time of need.

What started in 2018 as a small-scale effort to provide essential food supplies to food-insecure families in our local community has now grown into a larger philanthropic endeavor.

The Sharing the Love Initiative, our flagship community impact initiative, has touched the lives of thousands across the Greater Washington area over the years. And this year, we are aiming to reach our single biggest milestone yet: To support 1,000 food-insecure families with food boxes that will provide them with nutritious meals for two full weeks during the holiday season.
