💙 Nearly 25,000 diapers donated by CoxHealth staff!

Through a diaper drive held across multiple CoxHealth locations, staff rallied together to collect an incredible 24,987 diapers for Diaper Bank of the Ozarks. This became one of our biggest diaper donations of the year and will make a real impact for families in our community.

We love seeing members of our community come together like this to support local families and help meet essential needs in a big way.

Thank you to everyone at CoxHealth who donated, organized, and helped make this drive possible.

💛 Volunteer Highlight

For more than a year now, Louise Blumenstock has been one of the familiar faces regularly volunteering inside the Ambassadors for Children Boutique. Nearly every Thursday morning, she comes in to help sort clothing, stock shelves, inventory donations, and welcome foster families into the space.

This Foster Care Awareness Month, we sat down and talked with Louise about what keeps bringing her back and what she has learned through volunteering with foster families.

One of the biggest things she mentioned was how much her perspective has changed.

“Coming here and working has opened my eyes to the love that these parents have for their foster kids.”

Louise talked about watching children come into the boutique and light up when they get to choose their own clothes. She said many of these kids have had very little control in their lives, so something as simple as shopping for themselves can bring real joy and confidence.

She also spoke about the importance of dignity, especially when children receive brand new clothing that was chosen specifically for them and not simply passed down.

And when asked why she keeps volunteering, her answer was simple:

“This is something that you receive so much more back than you ever give.”

The May Campaign is almost finished for the year, and stories like Louise’s are a reminder that support can look different for everyone. Sometimes it’s donating. Sometimes it’s volunteering. Sometimes it’s simply being aware of and caring about what local foster families are walking through
