Cebrin Goodman Teen Institute
06/02/2026
We are incredibly grateful for our CGTI alumni who continue to give back and invest in the next generation of leaders. A special thank you to Joe Giamanco and Giamanco Law Partners, Ltd for sponsoring a student to attend the 2026 Cebrin Goodman Teen Institute this summer. Your generosity helps make life-changing experiences possible and ensures more youth have the opportunity to grow, lead, and make a difference in their communities. Thank you for believing in our mission and our youth!
Today we were visited by Natalie Maggiore, from the Illinois Association for Behavioral Health and the Cebrin Goodman Teen Institute.
CGTI is a youth leadership and prevention program that helps middle school and high school students develop leadership skills, make healthy choices, and bring positive change back to their schools and communities. The program has a strong focus on youth empowerment, substance-use prevention, and building confident young leaders.
The Illinois Association for Behavioral Health is a statewide organization that advocates for behavioral health providers, programs, and policies throughout Illinois, including work related to mental health, substance-use prevention, treatment, recovery, and youth-focused behavioral health initiatives.
Programs like CGTI can have a lasting impact on students and the communities they live in, and we are grateful to be able to help make that experience possible for another young leader.
CGTI has a special place in Joe Giamanco's life. He first attended as a participant in 1992 (it's been a minute), and later had the opportunity to return several times as a staff member and presenter. Joe's daughter attended as a participant twice and his sister, Mia Phifer, attended years before Joe. This year our office is proud to support another student’s opportunity to attend at no cost.
Some of our current and former clients are also alum of CGTI, which is a testament to the institute's ability to grow leaders and foster relationships that last a lifetime. This week is also the "Week of Giving" for CGTI and because of this, Joe was excited to help kick off this fundraising effort.
